About this job
As an all-round Marketing and Communication professional at Breda University of Applied Sciences (BUas), you will work as a 'domain marketeer'. Each domain marketeer is assigned to one of our academies and may also have a coordinating role in a specific BUas-wide field. For this particular vacancy, we are looking for a marketeer with an affinity for the domain of Tourism.

You are the fixed point of contact for advice and are jointly responsible for the execution of domain-specific marketing and communication activities to target groups such as students, the industry, knowledge partners and alumni. You are the linking pin between the academy, other domain-related colleagues, and the Marketing, Communication & Student-community department. You are aware of the various interests and stakes. You combine a proactive role as marcom specialist with the retrieval, input and translation of target group needs into marketing tools and channels. You communicate actively through social media, intranet, buas.nl and you contribute to several target group news media. You are result-oriented and operate within the framework of BUas strategy as well as marketing and communication policy and annual plans.

You actively collaborate with a team of specialist colleagues such as the AV specialist and copywriter to develop marcom resources and publishing content on various channels. You are part of the Marketing Communication & Student-community department, where the atmosphere is informal and warm and at the same time result driven striving to get the best out of each situation. In your daily activities, you will also work together with the Recruitment Marketing Team and student ambassadors, who will give you advice on the optimal communication of the educational propositions.

What do we offer?

  • The salary amounts to a monthly minimum of € 3,370.00 and a monthly maximum of € 4,582.91 (gross amounts based on full-time employment). You have the opportunity to grow to a senior level; 

  • This position will be at level 9 of the cao-hbo (collective agreement). Your formal job title will be operations assistant’; 

  • This position involves a one-year employment contract with the possibility of conversion into an indefinite employment contract; 

  • Your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed when you travel by public transport, and you will receive compensation for health insurance; 

  • You will receive an end-of-year benefit of 8.3% and an annual holiday allowance of 8%;  

  • You will be awarded professional development hours every year and almost eleven weeks of holiday entitlements in a full-time position; 

  • You will be working in a highly motivated department with colleagues who go the extra mile to engage successfully with our target groups;

What do we ask of you?

  • You have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication or journalism; 

  • You bring relevant work experience in marketing and communication, including social media; 

  • You have affinity with expertise domain of Tourism; 

  • You are enthusiastic, proactive, energetic and a flexible team player; 

  • You are able to build a strong network and have advisory skills; 

  • You are able to keep an overview of a wide diversity of activities and tasks and know how to set priorities; 

  • You have good Dutch and English speaking and writing skills as you will interact with international stakeholders and colleagues across the organisation.
